Who are Floorsense and Smartalock?

Floorsense designs desk hardware, occupancy sensors and software for hybrid offices. Its products are designed, developed and supported in Auckland, New Zealand, with all software, hardware and firmware built in-house. Smartalock is a smart locker system built by the same team.

The Floorsight V4 Puck

The V4 Puck is Floorsense's desk booking device. It mounts into the desk and:

• shows desk status with a simple traffic light system
• lets people check in with their access card or the app
• includes Qi wireless charging for phones

With the Nura Space integration, people book in Nura Space and check in at the puck, and that check-in counts towards attendance and utilisation reporting.

The Floorsight Handset

The Floorsight Handset is an all-in-one device built into the desk. Its screen shows the desk's status, the current user and the booking period, and it controls desk height and power.

Floorsense calls its height feature Follow-Me Ergonomics. Each person's preferred desk height is stored in the cloud, so it applies at whichever desk they use that day. It works with most major desk motor brands.

Occupancy sensing

The Floorsense occupancy sensor comes as standard with the V4 Puck and the Handset. It uses AI-driven detection to tell real occupancy apart from someone walking past, giving reliable data on how desks are actually used.

Smartalock smart lockers

Smartalock lockers are booked and opened through the Nura Space app, and can also be opened with an existing access card. The locks can be fitted to new or existing lockers. Connected to Nura Space, lockers become another bookable resource alongside desks, rooms and car parks.

Why it matters

Many organisations already own Floorsense or Smartalock hardware. The integration lets them keep that investment and still bring bookings, check-ins, lockers and analytics together in one workplace platform.
